♦ FIRST IMPRESSIONS ✧ VISUAL: X. Jane is 5'8", solidly-built, and on any given day likely to look somewhere between "rumpled" and "filthy," mostly depending on where she slept the past night. ✧ FASHION: The trailblazing outfit pictured above is Jane's standard (read: only, basically) outfit; 19th century American men's frontier wear, essentially. If forced to expand her wardrobe in Aefenglom, she'll stick as close to that as possible, which probably means (roughly) working class Victorian men's attire. ✧ DEMEANOUR: Surly and reserved if left to herself; perpetually skulking; uncertain around strangers; probably at least tipsy; quick to tell anyone staring to go fuck themselves. ✧ AURAL: Like so. Typically at least a notch or two above a socially-appropriate volume and often a touch slurred. ✧ OLFACTORY: On a good day: whiskey, sweat, wet earth, and more whiskey. On a bad night: much worse. ✧ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Her canon is magic-free, and she'd read as such normally. In Aefenglom, she's a Witch but hasn't developed any sort of aura from exercising her magic just yet. ♦ OOC ✧ BACKTAGGING: Yeah, sure! ✧ FOURTHWALLING: No Deadwood-specific fourthwalling. If your character would recognize her as the historical Calamity Jane, let's talk! ✧ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: You can try! (If you don't value your teeth.) The odds of Jane reciprocating (or tolerating) absent pretty significant CR development are zero. ✧ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Sure. Jane is not actually given to anything more violent than, say, a bar brawl, but she'll fight back if provoked. For anything that might lead to worse than a beating (on either side), let's discuss first! ✧ RELATIONSHIPS: Anything beyond friendship with Jane would require pretty extensive CR/probably some fair amount of planning beforehand. (Her sexuality is somewhat ambiguous in canon, but in practice she's much more likely to take to women than men.) ♦ PERMISSIONS ✧ TRIGGERS: Jane's canon backstory involves references to childhood sexual abuse, but discussion of such is unlikely to come up without advance plotting beforehand. Jane is also prone to using language that's likely to be offensive at best and and that at worst could come off as pretty bigoted. (Though she is as far from a bigot as her canon has!) ✧ SHIPPING: This is something I would theoretically be open to with Jane, with a character she clicked with? But it would have to be an incredibly slow burn to be at all in-character for her. ✧ POWERS: Just Aefenglom Witch stuff!
